John Blackwell Retires from CTP

The last day of December marked the end of an era for Cunnane Town Planning as Partner John Blackwell retired from the practice, after more than 20 years in the business. John initially joined the practice on a part time basis in 1991 before taking on a permanent role as Senior Planner the following year.  He became a partner in 1996, and was also a Director at Cunnane Stratton Reynolds.  John’s expertise in Development Management was characterised by an unrivalled determination and persistence to ‘get the job done’, and over the years he achieved many notable successes on behalf of our local and national developer clients.  At a dinner convened in John’s honour at the Foxhills Country Club, fellow partner Ian Phillips paid tribute to his achievements during his career at Cunnane Town Planning, and thanked him for his contributions in both partnership and professional matters.  John was presented with a Waterford crystal wine decanter and matching glasses, in the almost certain knowledge that he would put them to good use in his retirement!
